Please expand on why a Cannon print-head is easier to clean than an HP?

@BOYNTONSTU Why is it every time you get an answer on one of your posts you immediately ask another question on something else ?

Epson R285 or P50 (or the equivalent for your sales zone).
  1. Well established refillable cartridges, CIS systems and not (currently) in the firmware update zone of terror (that I know about)
  2. Inks are dye based and the passive printhead cleaning technique is easy to achieve on these. Plus they rarely clog anyway
  3. Without doubt one of the easiest for waste kit installation.
The down side is that they are now second hand items or very expensive but the longevity potential is very high.

Maybe because I can just remove it and replace in the same amount of time that it takes to replace a cartridge? Taking ceramic nozzle plates is considered very dangerous on canon printers I never knew that on HP it is recommended to do this.

I said "clean", not replace.

"Taking ceramic nozzle plates is considered very dangerous on canon printers I never knew that on HP it is recommended to do this."

Where did you get this information?

The video makes HP plate removal seem pretty safe.

I would not hesitate to use this method.

The rinsing and cleaning the clogged ceramic plates under running water seems ideal and a sure fire way of unblocking. I for one, would love to see daylight through the nozzles.

(BTW I left out MFC in my OP.)

I guess if you think HP is best thats what you should buy and ignore any advice you were given. Sounds like your mind was made up before asking for opinions here.

Think the reason for the confusion is that I believe @BOYNTONSTU was referring to disassembling the printhead itself to expose the grommet, ceramic plate and the nozzles. I think what you're referring to, is the printhead itself.

Could be wrong but looks like that was the confusion.

If he refills properly then he should not have to worry about clogs on any printer for a considerable time anyway.
