Thank you very much, but the HP Officejet Pro 8000 is an inkjet printer, not a laser.

The ftp mail.racs.co.bw server is often down and slow to respond, so have patience, and if you get a time out error, try again later. The server seems to be located in Botswana, maybe it is only online during business hours? Time zone for Botswana = GMT + 2 hours.

It seems the link in post #81 no longer works.

This post has links to the service manual for Canon MP280. Note that the manual is only a supplement, you will also need a base manual. Sadly the server ftp racs.co.bw that hosts the base manual only works sporadically.

I think that the Ip4900 series and the iP4800 series are so similar that the same service manual can be used for both printers.
