@Grazer 5 I do hope for your sake that these compatible cartridges work all right for you because using any compatibles on these machines is an accident just waiting to happen.

Only OEM’s are capable of being refilled numerous times before they too need a purge as you have found out, so how long do you expect to get out of these ones.

Here is a link for getting empty OEM CLl-42 cartridges..

Party pooper. :)

Since there is no claim that the chips are ARC, I'd presume not. I had no idea that Alibaba dealt at a retail level.

Alibaba are not a retailer but they put you in contact with one of their suppliers that matches your search details.

The chips on these cartridges are probably only one time and not ARC’s at all and may reset with the current redsetter it your lucky..

You might find they have a retail outlet via Aliexpress or eBay...

They do reset with a Resetter, it was the first thing i did when I opened the box. The Hat, these look exactly like the OEM's and when you go through them like I do, any supply is better than none. Those ones you referred to from Octoink are awfully pricey. it works out to $4.19 CDN per tank, plus shipping.

I'll let you guys know probably next week how they work out.

@Grazer 5 It will be good to hear how you got on with these new cartridges but just a word of caution, be careful with them and keep a good eye on your printouts because the ink output may not stand up to full printing continually, after all they are untested so far.

I am glad that the chips could be reset, which would have been a bummer to have to keep changing the chip from one cart to another otherwise..

Agreed... I source them from a recycling company as all my customers don't generate empties (talk about own goals :)) so it's not ideal but does at least make them available.

eBay in the US is probably a much better source for empties given the high volume of the printers sold and the like.
