I wouldn't buy a known defective printer, unless very cheap.

A defective Canon print head can ruin the logic board and the now defective logic board can ruin a new print head, So replacing the print head doesn't guarantee that the printer will be OK. Instead you might have lost more money on the print head.

Installing the print head from the defective MX860 in another printer could ruin that other printer.

@Harvey
If it is fraud, then printhead is likely to have sealed (or in any way disabled) certain contacts on printhead connector:

These contacts marked are not the ones I masked in my QY6-0073. Now the printer only uses pigment black and there is no more B200 error.

If you are not in charge of the printer then you have no idea what the other person is doing or printing and if you intend to sell it then I would not spend any money on it because you won’t recoup it, I also think the cartridges are suspect.

Picture posted before was to show contacts sealing which will result in nozzle print posted in first post:

According to my experience, only a definitely never reseted OEM chip will show low ink warning correctly.
But it still does not mean, that ink is flowing inside printhead nozzles.

I agree with you I have seen more of this not so accurate ink level detection with CLI 221 cartridges.

So you say that if the contacts marked are sealed I will end up getting the same nozzle check pattern as the one I uploaded_? I masked mine according to I guess one of your posts and only PGBK grid pattern shows in the nozzle check print.
