I wonder if printhead is removable for external flushing?

The cartridges are meant to stay in the print head at all times in these printers so I don’t imagine the head will suffer from any clogging because it uses some sort of vacuum to suck the ink out of the cartridges.. (Like a mini CISS)

A small "next step" in the research/development of refill proof consumer printers. Has the dual effect of field testing consumer acceptance and operational integrity without huge outlay at the production level....why? well IMHO just another step backwards into trashy consumerism and protecting ink sales, which after all is the sole purpose of an ink vending machine with (some small) benefits :caf

Give it a few months and i would not be shocked if our Chinese friends release a refill cart with ARC chips

We used to say Canon is easy to refill, this is getting not true will those cart designs and chips etc.

Carts are in the printhead?
I'd better get a Brother with OEM CISS. The cheap printer design means slushing this heavy print head will fail soon. Or did canon put back the metal guide linear motion rail? Any shots from inside the printer?

It seems I found the answer myself: Canon maxify cheap build quality.

@Łukasz Yes that can be true of the MG 6250 but these Maxify cartridges hold 24 ml of ink each so the weight of the ink plus 4 cartridges is a lot more weight to be moving along the same type of rail..
