Hi printerknowledge!

I'm a happy new owner of an Epson 3880 printer, my first printer ever. Probably I'll be printing mostly black and white which I really like but also some color. I've made only a few prints so far on a few different paper types but I have gotten some really nice B&W results on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and Canson Baryta paper :)

Regards
Per

Thanks, I had a hard time deciding between the Epson 3880 and the Canon Pro-1 (or Pro-10) which seemed to be a comparable alternative. I doubt I'll ever print larger than A3+ so that was not a deciding factor, in the end I chose the Epson mostly because it seemed much more available in my area and there seemed to be more options for ink refilling. Whether I'll want to refill or not I haven't got a clue though, I'll worry about that later :)

You are fortunate indeed that you decided as you did, 3880 likes cone refill ink, which is very similar but, in my opinion, better than the OEM ink......
The ability to vary print speed and feed rate means that you will be able to use paper like Canson watercolour Art Pads and achieve some great effects inB&W.

Welcome and enjoy

Andrew

Regarding cone ink, the InkThrift CL dye ink is 10Eur cheaper than Fujifilm in US, but same price in EU. What bout quality?
