Hi everyone!

I recently purchased HP Color LaserJet 2820 all-in-one. It is working fine. I just want to know something about its cartridges. Can I use compatible cartridges instead of buying those expensive ones from HP? Can these duplicate cartridges harm my printer?

If you are able to get compatible colour carts for your printer then go for it, just make sure they are for your specific model printer first, and no, compatible carts will not damage your HP printer..

Hi Dear Austin123,

Compatible cartridges cannot be termed as duplicate ones. It is just that these cartridges are manufactured by third parties which probably do not spend money on advertising. Don’t worry, you can definitely use either recycled cartridges or compatible ones and save considerable amount of money.

HP CLJ 2820 is relatively save to use compatibles compared to newer Samsung CLP and CLX series.

I use compatibles for my laser printers, for years. In fact i think the only original cartridges i 've ever used, are the ones the printers came with (and then refilled them a few times before turning to compatibles). Both my HP 1020 and Laserjet 1600 work fine, since 2006-2007. Go fot it!
