I know that certain companies sell special ink for black & white prints. If something is to Magenta all you have to do is remove subtract some magenta. You can also create Magenta by adding more Cyan and Yellow.

Cyan & Yellow = Green
Yellow & Magenta = Red
Cyan & Magenta = Blue
Green & Blue = Cyan
Red & Blue = Magenta
Green & Red = Yellow
Cyan & Magenta & Yellow = Black

I this case I dont think that the problem is removing magenta or adding green, the problem may be with the Photo-Black. If you spill a drop of Black ink in a white sink, while running water, you will see that virtually all blacks have a magenta tint. Thats what gives you the Magenta in the black and whites.

If you had the capability of refilling and the bulk ink, you could try to make your own black by mixing CMY inks together until you no longer get the tint.

I know that ASCI Bulk Ink sell specially formulated ink for Black & White prints, but I do not know if it clogs the printhead. I ordered some Cyan from them and it clogged my printhead, just like MIS and ColorBat.

This is their web-Address:

By the way, yesterday I tried a 50/50 mix of Formulabs BCI-6 and Costco IMS, the results were superb.

Hi Again Robert :)

As far as I have investigated, the IMS cotsco ink can only be purchased in forms of kit from Costco?
Also I don't know if there is only one kit for my printer. The information I found were talking about the 6 cartridges one. And since I don't have access to Costco... Do you know another place to buy them? I went to the IMS page but apparently there is no way I can purchase online... Maybe giving them a call might do.

About my black and white printing, I think that too, although I might need to do some tests, since I checkmarked the option of grayscale, it shouldn't used any color cartridges in theory. I'll see if I can tweak that a bit and report the results. If substracting Magenta doesn't do it maybe adding cyan and yellow might who knows? I have to try.

Thank you again for your invaluable informaton and help. When I'm ready to buy bulk ink, I'm sure going to stop by and ask you, and see if you got news about other inks, since you seem to test them more easily than me.

Thanks again
Belen
