Ok tell me just how to do this, sorry. Do you mean print a page of the nozzle check and then scan ?
Yes exactly!

It is often said that one picture is worth more than a thousand words, and this is certainly true when discussing print head problems.

I have searched Canon USA parts several times and all I find are ink cartridges and paper? That seems strange to me but......

These scans aren't too good. Hope you can see the band in the magenta. The pink vertical line is just something my OLD scanner is producing.

You have to go old-fashioned and use a telephone, and SPEAK to the parts people...they have lots of stufff not listed.

Again, CALL them. They do not list print heads on the web...

If it were me, I certainly wouldn’t give up on the head just yet you may be able to get it to print again properly.

Try soaking in a tub of warm water and plenty of dreft (washing up liquid) for at least 24 hours or longer if you have the time.

But you’ll need to thoroughly dry it before inserting it back into the printer again, then run a cleaning cycle on all colours and a nozzle print and see if there is any improvement..
