I would have to agree that the Aussie climate is somewhat changeable to the extremes but I wouldn’t go as far as calling it harsh. (Unique maybe)

The Flora there has had a plenty of time to adapt to the ever changing conditions, it’s an appsolute wonderland for an Artist to capture on canvas, and I reckon only aboriginal painters can produce that kind of magic. (Raw)

It’s what you’d call been gobsmacked, a real stop and stare moment in time that no camera could ever hope to capture, unbelievably life like, I have a place in my heart for these black guys. (Very Spiritual)

HARSH is the kindest word I can find!!
Around Ayres Rock, not the hottest area 49-50degrees C at midday, and minus 2 degrees C at 4am to get up to catch the light.......months, whole years without a drop of rain...
We just went through a drought here where I live, 15 years with VERY little rain. So little in fact that the local Koala's that do not drink water directly but rely on moisture from certain specific Gum Trees were actually dropping DEAD under trees due to being poisoned by the Gum Trees. Without fresh supplies of water the trees overproduced Eucalyptus oil in their system to survive. The concentration of oil was so high that the Koala got NO moisture at all and the oil became a poison to them..........Thats blooming HARSH mate!

It can get so hot within 5km of where I live that gums self combust. But even on those days a person can walk amongst them and feel them hunching down to withstand the torment and STILL be showing the most beautiful pastel shades in their bark and leaves. The understory brush is the same. A person that sees and feels, can't walk here without being moved by them all.

The Aboriginal, is something else, our forbears, brutalised them, and now they wreck themselves with low self esteem, its the American Native tribes + 10. BOTH are immensely connected, as connected as Whales and all manner of things we THINK we know.
