Since the "Search Forums" option did NOT return any hit on "Saturated inkpad", I'm posting here my problem, hoping to find a good advice or hint:

My workhorse RX595 stopped working with the msg. "Waste inkpad saturated."
I need to know how to fix this problem.

(The Epson resetting utility did not reset the printer.)

TIA

This might be a better search term : "epson waste ink" without the "". The trick is to guess what term is used and for Epson printers it seems to be waste ink. For Canon printers "ink absorbers" is a good search term.

Here is the result of a forum search for "epson waste ink": http://www.printerknowledge.com/search/56076/?q=epson waste ink&t=post&o=date

I found a service manual here: https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=CyrC0NqXiSFw6mQq8RCNOSFtzksCuq4lkwslifC3AqU=

This is the link to click, click to enlarge image:

Neither AVG Internet Security nor Malwarebytes Antimalware found any threats in the download.

I also searched for the Adjustment program for the printer, but only found dead links or very suspect downloads. Beware!

You might be able to locate new waste ink pads for your printer or wash and reuse the old pads or you could add an external waste ink tank, either DIY or commercially manufactured. You will also need a reset program for the waste ink.

Octoinkjet UK sells external waste ink containers and a reset program: http://www.octoink.co.uk/categories/*-Epson-Printer-Products/RX-Series/RX595/ . You can contact the support here: http://www.octoink.co.uk/pages/Contact-Support.html

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
Blimey @PeterBJ you're getting more than a bit good at this ferreting out info... @iPeach may have to fight for her job if you're interested in a new position in the land of wellies and water. ;)

Ok... so on a more serious note the only thing I can add (vested interest that I have n' all) is that the AdjProg utilities won't work with anything later than Windows 7 or with MacOS, *nix OS, etc... which leaves the WICReset/iWIC tools and a key.

The Printer Potty kits we developed and sell do make life simpler but it seems most folk on here like to make life hard for themselves so I won't be offended if you decide to DIY...
:smack ;)
