hi, I am trying to print some postcard style invites onto Ice Pro Duo Matt photo card. I have the paper settings set to 'other matt photo' and quality on 'best' however the colours look dingy when printed. The picture is made up of black, white, shocking pink and cyan, and the blue and pink look nothing like the shade they should do. I have printed them on my normal gloosy photo size paper and the colours print perfectly so I know that it isn't my file that has a problem. Does anyone know where I can find the recommended settings to use with this card and printer. Thanks

I don't know Kodak printers, but the fact that the prints are OK with the glossy paper indicates that the printer is OK.

Try to check the site of the "Ice Pro" paper manufacturer for tips on printer settings. You could also try out different media settings and tweak the colour balance and saturation settings in the printer driver if the Kodak printer driver allows that.

Here is another thread about the same paper: http://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/canon-ip4600-black-print-issue.3440/

You could also upload scans of the correct and the wrong print, maybe this will bring more answers.

Have been trying to find the manufacturers website to look for recommendations on print settings but with no luck, found a dietibutors web page but only had suggested settings for Epson and HP. Have uploaded pic hope it shows what I mean. Thanks

The uploaded picture is good enough to show that the Ice Pro print is less saturated than the glossy print. You could try all the other photo paper settings and see if one works better. If possible try to increase the saturation or use a vivid colour setting if a such is present. Don't change the colour balance, as that is correct. If you can adjust the amount of cyan, magenta and yellow, try to increase them all by the same amount.

Maybe the suggested settings for Epson and HP printers will also work with your printer?

I guess that double sided photo paper is very rare so it is difficult or impossible to try another brand of paper to see if that is better?

If these suggestions don't help, sadly I'm out of ideas.
