Printer Model
Epson SURELAB SR3000 DR
Hey Folks,
We're running a fine art printing business in Casablanca, Morocco.
We're running an epson P8000 as a primary printer for almost 5 years now, and it used to work like a charm. Few days ago we replaced the LLK cartridge as it get empty by a guenine epson one.
Few prints later, it starts to show some missing lines in the nozzle check on the LLK channel (cf attached ; ive pushed the contrast so it can be clear)
Through the service program, ive launched a CL4 cleaning (20% ink consumption  on the LLK). And then did a "large dots" nozzle check. Still the same.
On a LLK print purge pattern, the first inch is OK, then the banding starts to appaer (cf picture)
We've had a LOT of issues with epson printer in the past (a surelab sr-3000 which was a nightmare to own : 5 heads in 5 years) and a 11880 (head replacement after 2 years).
My questions :
  • Does the cartridge replacement can be responsible of that ?
  • Does the head died ?
I have no intention of servicing this machine, as a i had some horrible experience with parts replacements in the past on epson printer. If its the head, then direct to garbage, and i'll be buying a new printer.
Many thanks for ur feedbacks
Anas
