What Is Best Method To Prepare A Used MP810 Printhead For Storage?

Thanx for the detailed explanations, gh.... As a quick test with the burned out printhead, I set it in about a quarter-inch of distilled water just to see how much ink precipitated out and, instantly, black started floating out of the bottom inkjet area and water was drawn up to the very top of...

What Is Best Method To Prepare A Used MP810 Printhead For Storage?

Actually, the printhead in question is a brand new one that I mentioned in another post as not working in my MP810 that toasted the original head. The new one now has ink residue on the surfaces that interface with the outlets of the ink carts. While I was never able to get the printer to...

Opinions Concerning Ink Nova USA Products?

Anyone have experience with Ink Nova USA products? Are they as good as Hobbicolors inks? The reason I ask is that Amazon has a kit with everything needed to refill and reset the carts, including a resetter and five new, empty, carts with special refill holes built-in. See Amazon's listing of...

Does Hobbicolors Make Ink For Canon CLI-22X Series Carts?

Wow, great information, all around! Thanx, gh, iP, leo, and pharm. Is kbay2002, on ebay, the only source for Hobbicolors inks? Your suggestion to someone in another thread, ghwellsjr, to buy a second printer as a back-up and source of a second set of ink tanks encouraged me to order a second...

Does Hobbicolors Make Ink For Canon CLI-22X Series Carts?

The Hobbicolors web site is very limited in info (no ordering info, no pricing) and the e-mail addresses for contacting them don't work. Am I in a twilight zone, or, do they make (and sell) a range of products that would include carts for the Canon MP560 (CLI-22X series)?

printers that use cli-8 inks ?

Wilko, is that true (bolded text) for the MP560, as well? What is a "resetter" and where can I source it if I need it? Many thanx.

    MP810 Error codes B200 and 5020---New Printhead.

G.H. the only burned area was on the printhead, itself, as opposed to its contact area in the printer. The new printhead has suffered no similar problem, but, that could be because the printer has been essentially dead since the failure of the original printhead. You mention "the German method"...

    MP810 Error codes B200 and 5020---New Printhead.

Thanx, stratman. Interesting exchange there on that German site. Alas, nothing is working to correct the problem. I have gone over all suggestions and am nowhere. Woe is me :( .

    MP810 Error codes B200 and 5020---New Printhead.

Thanx for the tips, guys. Sorry, I forgot to say that the scanner lock was always in the "off" position and I switched it back and forth to see if that had any effect and it didn't. However, I did not turn the printer off before shifting the lock switch as suggested by stratman. When I get back...

    MP810 Error codes B200 and 5020---New Printhead.

My wife's Canon MP810 stopped working. I removed the printhead and found a rather badly burned connection at the right corner of the flex circuit where it is soldered to the contact board (the little green pcb that looks just like a computer keyboard). I ordered and received a new genuine Canon...
