I solved my iP4500 problem. ;)
I purchased a new print head; QY6-0075 (direct replacement for the original QY6-0067 in my printer).
Cost to me was about 100 USD including postal mail (arrived in a couple of days).
The printer worked fine afterward. :ya
So I gather that there was excess current...
I am having problems with my iP4500 (it powering itself off, abruptly).
Here is a cell phone picture of the system interface side of the print head.
At first glance I notice the five pads which are the same node, upper-right in this picture.
So are those one of the DC rails, or are they ground...
I had the same sort of problem.
I believe that my power supply is good, and that my logic board is good.
And I am (tentatively) glad for that.
I don't know whether my issue is with the print head, or is a mechanical issue (friction?), or could be a regulation (power supply) fault.
Am hoping that...
