I found the dedicated inks are very good I used InkTec for HP 56/57/58 its a quality ink never let me down
the HP #56 never stopped for 1YEAR plus :)
the #57 was good for 15 refills

The head is only ~6mnonths old and the carts refill ~30 times

Well the Magenta blocked again after above efforts.
Tried th windex soak .. partial success Magenta was week.
Tried this
Adapted a syringe with flared end to seal over the Magenta inlet port.
Injected windex gently thru' inlet and also did a withdraw.
This worked and all is fine :)

Magenta stopped working all of a sudden, after 50 or more refills I could not get it to work with the Clean or intensive clean.
Tips from this forum did not work ie. running a stream of warm water over the head jets did nothing not even hot wet kleenex tissue

Will the foam be worn with many insertions using the German bottom fill method
I use a 1.25mm X 50mm long needle
The method works fine but is fidddly to get into the compartment thru' the wall
Is the hole better off centre ???
I have had great results with the German method ie. refill hole bottom front
BUT magenta refill has got foamy in the sponge area
even when the tank is full.
Result BAD nozzle printout
Yellow / Cyan is fine by same refill method
